India is a very historic and beautiful country. It is a home to many religions, languages, cultures etc. India is filled with different food, dance forms, music everywhere, unlike other countries!. Each place in India is known for something, either it is food, monuments, how clean it is etc. Each place also has its own dance form, music, language, culture, festivals, famous monuments and people.
I live in Karnataka and Karnataka is famous for, Yakshagana dance form, Ragi Mudde famous food, Mysuru Palace famous monument, Dasara famous festival, Kuvempu famous person, Carnatic Music, Kannada.
Karnataka is famous for so many things right!!, in the same way other states in India have famous things too. Let’s look at more states.
Tamilnadu is famous for, Bharatanatyam famous dance form, Rice famous food and staple diet, Rudrapathi Temple famous monument, Pongal famous festival, Rajinikanth famous actor, Pann famous music, Tamil.
Now, let’s move into the history of India. I love history, it is so nice to hear who lived long ago, who wrote the national anthem and song of the country, etc.
India is called in many different ways, like ‘Hindustan’, ‘Bharat’, ‘Bharata’ etc. There are Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, etc, in India. Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Marati, Telugu, etc, languages are spoken here.
In India, Ganga, Yamuna, Sindhu, Kaveri, Krishna, Godavari, Ravi, etc, rivers flow. Tigers, lions, elephants, deers, cheetahs, etc, are the wild animals found here.
‘Jana Gana Mana’ is our national anthem and this anthem is written by Ravindranath Tagore. This anthem brightness India makes us Indians proud. ‘Vande Mataram’ is our national song and is written by Bankim Chandra Chatterji.
Our national flag has three colours. ‘Orange’, ‘White’ and ‘Green’, ‘Blue’ colour is used in the chakra, having 24 lines marking one whole day. Our national flag gives us pride!!.
This country has got a lot of freedom fighters, who gave their lives away to free India from the Britishers. They are, Kithuru Chenamma, Rani Lashkmi Bai, Tippu Sultan, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar.This is a home to many famous people too, they are Valmiki, Vasya, Pampa, Raghuvank, Kumar Vasya, Kabir are some famous poets earlier. Not only them, Buddha, Basava, Allma, Gandhi Ji, Ambedkar are some brave people from India.
I am proud to be an Indian!. I love my beautiful country.
